KidEase
British Columbia child care guide
KidEase lists licensed daycare in Canada.
This guide points to official government pages. KidEase does not set fees or award grants.
Create your KidEase listing after you have a licence, or claim the one already in the directory.
Fees after the Canada-wide agreements
Reduced parent fees are set by each province for participating licensed programs. Confirm the current amount on the official pages. KidEase does not invent a fee.
ChildCareBC Start-Up Grants are home-focused: typically $500 up front, then up to $500 per licensed space after a licence is issued and you join Child Care Operating Funding and, where eligible, CCFRI. School-age Operational Start Up exists separately. Subject to program rules and budget.
Subsidy steps
Apply on the official subsidy or funding page. KidEase does not process the application.
Waitlist rules
Waitlist rules are set by the province. KidEase does not charge a waitlist fee. Read the licensing page before you ask a family to join a list.
How to start a licensed daycare
Read the Child Care Licensing Regulation, then contact your health authority before you renovate. Home-based Group Care, Family, and In-Home Multi-Age licences are the typical start-up path.
