KidEase
Nova Scotia child care guide
KidEase lists licensed daycare in Canada.
This guide points to official government pages. KidEase does not set fees or award grants.
Create your KidEase listing after you have a licence, or claim the one already in the directory.
Fees after the Canada-wide agreements
Reduced parent fees are set by each province for participating licensed programs. Confirm the current amount on the official pages. KidEase does not invent a fee.
Family Home Start Up has been described as a one-time grant of up to about $7,500 via the local agency. Minor/Major infrastructure programs for not-for-profit centre spaces have had intakes that close when funds are allocated (Minor was listed as closed). Confirm Creating Spaces on Child Care Nova Scotia.
Subsidy steps
Apply on the official subsidy or funding page. KidEase does not process the application.
Waitlist rules
Waitlist rules are set by the province. KidEase does not charge a waitlist fee. Read the licensing page before you ask a family to join a list.
How to start a licensed daycare
For a centre, work with Licensing Services on a proposal before you build. For a home, contact the Family Home Child Care Agency in your area: they coach the licence path and administer home start-up grants.
