KidEase
Nunavut child care guide
KidEase lists licensed daycare in Canada.
This guide points to official government pages. KidEase does not set fees or award grants.
Create your KidEase listing after you have a licence, or claim the one already in the directory.
Fees after the Canada-wide agreements
Reduced parent fees are set by each province for participating licensed programs. Confirm the current amount on the official pages. KidEase does not invent a fee.
Nunavut offers one-time start-up funding for opening, expanding, or relocating a licensed centre (and for individuals starting a licensed family home). The amount follows a departmental formula and available budget: not a published flat cheque. Separate infrastructure calls have funded new spaces first-come until funds run out. Email ELCCAdmin@gov.nu.ca or your Early Childhood Officer.
Subsidy steps
Apply on the official subsidy or funding page. KidEase does not process the application.
Waitlist rules
Waitlist rules are set by the province. KidEase does not charge a waitlist fee. Read the licensing page before you ask a family to join a list.
How to start a licensed daycare
Read the licensed daycare handbook, then contact your regional Early Childhood Officer. You will need plans, fire and health reports, zoning, insurance, and an emergency plan before a licence.
